Rip Blu-ray with specific audio track (language/codec/channels) on Mac 2010/03/10 01:59 Karma: 0
Recently I encountered a big trouble. I received a Blu-ray DVD from my dear friend migrated to France for five years. I attemptted to watch it on my WDTV. After Google search, I found that WDTV can not play Blu-ray movies directly and the possible way is to convert Blu-ray to other workable formats on WDTV. Therefore, I tried Blu-ray tools on the market to convert the Blu-ray. But another problem occurred - the audio track is French while my master language is English. It is really annoying.

In order to convert Blu-ray with my master audio track I have to look for another alterative Blu-ray ripper supporting converting/ripping Blu-ray with selective audio track for my reference. I have to say I was really lucky. The new version of Moyea Blu-ray Ripper released on 7 February 2010 just can help solve the problem with ease. And I am glad to share you with the easy-solution to convert and rip Blu-ray with selective audio track here.

Step 1: Free download Moyea Blu-ray Ripper for Mac here, install and run it.

Step 2: Load Blu-ray files into this program via your Blu-ray drive

Step 3: Identify audio track and select subtitle language

Click the drop-down list “Audio”, you can select the specific audio track, including the audio language, codec, stream ID and channels. For instance, you can select TrueHD or DTS-HD audio to keep its original audio quality. In addition, you can convert and rip Blu-ray with your master language for your reference. Here I will choose English TrueHD 5.1 channles track.

Click the drop-down list “Subtitles”, it allows you to select subtitle language before converting.

Step 4: Select output format

Click the drop-down list “Format”, you can select the proper output format according to your end use of these files. For example, you can select format for your iPod, iPhone, PSP, Apple TV, or other portable devices like me, or directly copy them to the hard drive and other removable medium, or remux them to other formats without recodec, etc. Here I prefer to select MP4 format.

Step 5: Click the “Convert” button to start Blu-ray Ripper

Once all the settings are done, you can click the “Convert” button to start Blu-ray to iPhone Conversion. From the process of conversion, you will see the following useful info: left/estimated time, generated/estimated size so that you can make full use of time.

Besides the above features, Moyea Blu-ray Ripper for Mac supports converting Blu-ray without any audio out of video issue for its advanced audio and video sync technology.

Good luck!
