Play Panasonic HDC-SD60 MTS on Mac without Interlacing Issue 2010/08/25 05:44 Karma: 0
After shooting videos with the compact Panasonic HDC-SD60, do you want to save the recorded videos in iMac/MacBook Pro and enjoy the videos? QuickTime Player does not recognize the native 1080i MTS videos, and iMovie does not support the .mts files from Panasonic SD60 very well, as you may find the noise and jumpy videos after importing to iMovie.

Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter for Mac is the perfect Panasonic AVCHD converter on Mac OS X like Tiger, Leopard and Snow Leopard to make the SD60 videos playable and editable on Mac computer. The Mac Panasonic AVCHD converter does not only convert MTS to H.264 MOV for QuickTime Player, but also deinterlaces the HD 1920x1080 videos by removing the interlacing artifacts, so that you will not face interlaces when playing the videos.

Want to make your Panasonic HDC-SD60 compatible with Mac and enjoy smooth video playback? Just follow the guide below to convert SD60 MTS to MOV for QuickTime on Mac Snow Leopard.

Step 1. Load Panasonic videos to Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter for Mac.
Copy the .mts files from Panasonic HDC-SD60 to iMac hard drive disk, run Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter for Mac as the best Mac Panasonic MTS converter, and click the "Add" button to load .mts videos.

Step 2. Choose HD MOV format.
Click the "Format" option, and choose HD Video > H.264 HD Video(*.mov) as output format. The Mac Panasonic MTS converter will transoce 1080/60i MTS to H.264 MOV for QuickTime with Hi-def 1920x1080 video resolution.

Step 3. Convert Panasonic HDC-SD60 MTS to MOV for QuickTime.
Click the convert button under the preview window, the Mac MTS to MOV converter will start converting Panasonic SD60 1080/60i MTS to MOV for QuickTime on Mac for smooth playback.

After the conversion, just play the HD videos like other quicktime file, and enjoy with iMac large screen.

Tips:
You may click the "Editor" button and go to the Effect tab to see if the checkbox for the "Deinterlacing" option is ticked to deinterlace the 1080i videos.

I find Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter for Mac as the best Panasonic to iMovie converter to transcode MTS videos to iMovie supported AVI.

Tips:
1. The output files also works for Non-linear editing software on MacBook Pro or iMac like Final Cut Pro (FCP), Final Cut Express (FCE), Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer (MC), and Kdenlive.

2. The Mac MTS to AVI converter also works with the AVCHD videos from camcorders like Panasonic HDC-TM300, Panasonic HDC-SDT750K, Panasonic Pro AG-DVC20, Panasonic Pro AG-HMC150, Panasonic HDC-SD60, Panasonic TM700K.
